Burnout Akademik Mahasiswa di Era Pendidikan Modern: Studi Literatur Indonesia dan Luar Negeri

Burnout akademik menjadi salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi mahasiswa di era pendidikan modern akibat meningkatnya tuntutan akademik, perkembangan teknologi pendidikan, serta perubahan sistem pembelajaran yang semakin kompleks. Kondisi ini dapat berdampak pada kesehatan mental, motivasi belajar, keterlibatan akademik, hingga keberhasilan studi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik burnout akademik mahasiswa, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya, serta mengkaji berbagai strategi pencegahan dan penanggulangannya berdasarkan hasil penelitian di Indonesia dan luar negeri. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui penelaahan berbagai artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang diterbitkan pada periode 2016–2026. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi dan analisis tematik untuk menemukan pola, persamaan, serta perbedaan temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa burnout akademik ditandai oleh kelelahan emosional, sikap sinis terhadap studi, dan menurunnya keyakinan terhadap kemampuan akademik. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi burnout meliputi stres akademik, beban belajar, rendahnya self-efficacy, kurangnya dukungan sosial, rendahnya resiliensi, serta faktor lingkungan dan teknologi. Berbagai strategi yang terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi burnout meliputi penguatan resiliensi, mindfulness, dukungan sosial, regulasi emosi, serta penciptaan lingkungan pembelajaran yang sehat dan suportif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penanganan burnout akademik memerlukan pendekatan yang holistik dan kolaboratif.
